Juan Ignacio Martinez admitted to making the wrong decisions for Levante on Monday night, conceding defeat to Osasuna was deserved.
Los Granotes fell to a second consecutive home defeat, with Jose Luis Mendilibar’s men netting two late goals to secure a 2-0 result.
“Although we deserved a goal in the first half, we were unable to take our chances and in the second half it is true that they have been deserving of the win,” admitted Coach Martinez post-match.
“Against Osasuna you must be very strong defensively to control the match. I always look for the best potential in the squad, but ultimately none of my decisions here have been successful.
“In the Primera Division it is very difficult and even more in the second round of fixtures, with the double effort we are putting into the Europa League.
“We were very very strong in the Ciutat and now that has been broken up by Malaga and Osasuna, but now we have to go into the [Valencian] derby to try and get some points back.”
