Barcelona President Sandro Rosell will travel to New York next week to determine whether Tito Vilanova can return for the match with Milan.
The Blaugrana will play the Serie A side in the second-leg of their Champions League last 16 clash on Tuesday March 12.
And the Camp Nou club's chief will fly to the American city on Wednesday to visit the Coach, who is in the Big Apple undergoing cancer treatment.
Rosell will be there firsthand to visit Vilanova and his doctors to discuss his possible return.
