Kike Sola's fourth minute goal was enough to give the Basque team all three points at El Sadar.
And the 51-year-old has admitted that his team are showing the sort of form that could see them avoid relegation.
“This weekend was an important one for us,” he told a Press conference. “We won and other results went our way.
“The victory sees us move away from the relegation zone, and that's obviously the most important thing.
“I hope we can continue like this. Some might say that they do not like playing Osasuna, but that's fine with me.”
