Mendilibar: Game by game

Jose Luis Mendilibar has made clear that he and his Osasuna players are not taking for granted any game that they play.

The Pamplona side are on a good run of form, picking up two wins and two draws either side of a defeat to Barcelona in the last five games.

Whilst hosting out of form Real Zaragoza this Saturday evening, Coach Mendilibar does not see a home win as a foregone conclusion.

“We have to think of this as a new game, forgetting what we have done before,” commented the tactician in his pre-match Press conference.

“They are a different opponent. We play with conviction, not thinking about what has happened before.

“Currently we are doing well at home and we will see if we can do good on the point we picked up last week at Mallorca.

“The players have trained great all week. Here nobody has given less.

“Zaragoza are there, a little higher than us in the table. They had a very good run and now it seems that the results are not following.

“They are a strong team that can do much with little play. We will see who can do more this weekend.”
