Xabi Alonso has defended Real Madrid boss Jose Mourinho, claiming that he is still The Special One.
The Portuguese Coach has come under-fire this season from some sections of the Spanish Press, but the former Liverpool man has insisted that the 50-year-old is still one of the best around.
“You can see that Jose has something different,” he told BBC Sport. “The way he communicates with the player, it's different.
“The way he empathises with the players as well is different.
“That is why you want to be behind him, why you want to play and fight for him on the pitch.
“The players, we do believe in him.”
