Sevilla have reportedly agreed to purchase the remaining 50 per cent of Gary Medel’s playing rights from Universidad Catolica.
Medel moved to Sevilla midway through the 2010-11 season, with the Andalucians officially purchasing 50 per cent of the player’s contract from Universidad.
Part of the deal signed then included a purchase option for Sevilla to obtain the remaining 50 per cent by the end of this season.
The club have reportedly communicated that they will now exercise that agreement and pay out a total of €3m in agents fees and instalments through to 2014, to take full ownership of the Chile international.
