Tito Vilanova may be almost 4,000 miles away in New York, but it has not stopped him from reportedly communicating technical decisions at Barcelona.
The 44-year-old is currently in America as part of his continued treatment for cancer, after having a second lump removed from his parotid gland at the end of 2012.
However, AS report that he is still in constant communication with coaching staff at the Camp Nou and, whilst not every game is shown on television in the states, he is following matches online.
Vilanova has reportedly been in regular discussion with assistant Coach Jordi Roura at the end of every training session and has also provided his reflections on recent games and provided notes on in-game situations and changes.
Before Barca’s game tonight away to Real Madrid in the first leg of their Copa del Rey semi-final, it is understood that Vilanova will have a ‘direct line’ to Roura.
Vilanova is due to return to Barcelona at the end of this week, before reportedly flying back out to New York in mid-February to continue his treatment.
