Atletico Madrid are reported as interested in picking up Levante’s Vicente Iborra on the cheap this summer.
Diego Simeone’s side are believed in the market for a central midfielder or two for next summer, in light of Emre Belozoglu and Tiago Mendes’ respective struggles to break into the team.
Iborra has impressed during the last 18 months at Ciutat de Valencia and Atleti are believed monitoring his situation with one eye on his €6m buyout clause and another on his contract expiring in June 2014.
The 25-year-old has been offered a renewal to extend his stay and up his buyout clause, but he has so far left it unsigned.
