Petrov set for Espanyol

Martin Petrov has been pictured at Espanyol’s training facilities today for a medical ahead of completing a transfer from Bolton.

Midfielder Petrov is at Espanyol’s training ground this afternoon to undergo a medical and complete his return to La Liga on an initial six-month deal. It is understood that there will be room to negotiate an extension of a further 12 months at the end of the season.

Since leaving Atletico Madrid in 2007, the 33-year-old Bulgarian international has spent the last six years playing in the north west of England through spells with Manchester City and Bolton.

Petrov is expected to take training with his new teammates this afternoon and later be presented as Los Pericos’ first signing of the January transfer market.

Meanwhile, Parma forward Dorlan Pabon’s agent has confirmed that the Colombian international is on the verge of completing a loan switch to Cornella-El Prat this week.
