Paco Herrera thought his Celta Vigo side deserved the three points as they defeated Real Valladolid 3-1 at Estadio Balaidos.
Two goals from Iago Aspas and a second half strike from Alex Lopez gave the Celestes victory on Sunday.
And the 59-year-old has claimed that his team were worthy winners.
“We created fewer opportunities than in other games,” he told a Press conference. “But we were much more effective in front of goal than we have been.
“Honestly, I think we deserved this win, and we certainly needed it.
“In the first half we played well, but in the second we sat back a bit too much. They needed to pull two goals back and they attacked us.
“We should have tried to push up a bit more, but we've done enough to win.”
