Barcelona assistant Jordi Roura has claimed that Coach Tito Vilanova will be on the bench for the game with Espanyol on Sunday.
The Bluagrana face Javier Aguirre's side at Camp Nou tomorrow and the 45-year-old has revealed the the boss will be back, despite undergoing treatment for a cancer relapse just before Christmas.
“Tito is okay,” he told a Press conference. “He has surprised everyone.
“He still has to overcome the treatment, but there is no doubt that he is well, lively and strong – and that is the most important thing.”
He also commented on the threat posed by their city rivals as they play their first game after the winter break.
“Espnayol are always difficult because it's a derby match,” he said. “ That adds something different.
“It is true that with their change of Coach we have had to go back and look at a few things, but it is clear that the new man has been beneficial to them.”
