Athletic Bilbao striker Fernando Llorente has conceded that he is disappointed that he won't be able to play at Nuevo San Mames next season.
The Basque side will move into their new stadium come June, but the Spain international has already confirmed that he will not sign a new deal so will become a free agent over the summer.
"It is a shame I won't play there next season,” he told a group of school children at a youth tournament in Tenerife. “But sometimes that happens in football.
“At the moment I am dedicating myself completely to the team – to train and to play. I am just thinking about the football here in our League.”
With that remark he was then asked whether he would continue in Spain after his contract ends.
“We will see what happens in six months,” he said. “That's when I'll decide what to do with my career.”
