Colunga looks back in anger

Getafe striker Adrian Colunga is desperate for a move elsewhere in January and angry at his lack of playing time.

Colunga, formerly of Recreativo Huelva and Sporting Gijon amongst others, has made just eight appearances for the Azulones this season, six from the bench.

“When I see myself not playing Sunday after Sunday, it’s best to change air in January,” the 28-year-old wrote on a social network.

“My thinking is logical, in January I’ll look for a new club because I cannot be like this any longer.”

According to Colunga the feeling is mutual, with the Coliseum Alfonso Perez residents also keen to see the back of him.

“I guess they don’t like paying someone who is sat at home every day. They know my opinion. I’ve talked to the President and the Coach, nobody has given me an explanation of why I don’t play. It is best that I leave, but it makes me angry, because I could have gone in the summer, there were offers. They told me to stay, then didn’t play me.

“I’d like to go abroad. Spain is very bad and I don’t like it, I would try other things.”
