Barcelona youngster Isaac Cuenca could be set to join Valencia on loan in January.
The 21-year-old winger is in the final stages of his recovery after undergoing a meniscus operation earlier in the year, but may struggle to force his way back into the Blaugrana first XI with the likes of Lionel Messi, Pedro Rodriguez, David Villa, Alexis Sanchez and Cristian Tello all ahead of him in the pecking order.
A move to Mestalla until the end of the season could be a satisfactory solution for all parties, with Valencia in need of a boost following their disappointing start to the season. The excellent relationship between Los Che Coach Ernesto Valverde and Barca sporting director Andoni Zubizarreta is said to be another important factor.
Cuenca made 30 appearances for Barca last term, scoring four times.
