Jose Luis Mendilibar admitted that his Osasuna side were well beaten as they lost 2-1 to Granada on Saturday.
Goals from Diego Mainz and Daniel Benitez either side of half-time were enough to give El Grana the three points.
And the Rojillos boss has conceded that his men deserved to lose.
“We lost on merit,” he told a Press conference. “They deserved to win because they were better than us.
“I do not know if our early goal made us think we were going to win, but we took a step back once we'd scored.
“They were better than us, stronger than us.”
