Mel furious with officials

Real Betis boss Pepe Mel has claimed that his side's 2-1 loss to Real Mallorca on Saturday was 'unfair'.

The Bermellones received a controversial penalty in the second half after Victor Casadesus was brought down , initially, outside the area.

And the 49-year-old was left fuming with the officials after the final whistle.

“We got screwed,” he told a Press conference. “The linesman decided the contact was inside, and that clearly had impact on the result.”

He did concede though, that his players were partly to blame for the loss.

“We had three or four opportunities to make it 2-0, and we didn't take them.

“That is our fault, but I think the result is unfair.”
