The Barcelona boss underwent surgery on Thursday to remove a tumour from his parotid gland, but according to Mundo Deportivo left the Vall d'Hebron Hospital's Intensive Care Unit yesterday.
And AS have today confirmed that the Blugrana Coach will be able to spend the festive period at home as he will be able to leave hospital on Christmas Eve.
Vilanova will have a six-week session of chemotherapy and radiotherapy in early January before gradually returning to work at Camp Nou.
