Celta Vigo boss Paco Herrera thought his side 'lacked belief' as they went down 1-0 to Atletico Madrid on Friday evening.
A second half strike from Adrian was enough to give Los Colchoneros the three points at Vicente Calderon.
But the Celestes Coach has claimed that his men were lacking in confidence, but still defended their pragmatic gameplan.
“The approach to this game was not defensive,” he told a Press conference. “At no time did we plan to play defensively, it's just my players lacked the belief to win.
“Atletico are a team that gives you room to come out with the ball, and then they press and break. Theu have not lost a game at home this season, so it works.”
