Barcelona President Sandro Rosell has made clear that the Catalans are not taking their advantage in the League for granted.
Barca opened up a nine-point lead over second placed Atletico Madrid on Sunday night with a 4-1 win over Diego Simeone’s side.
Combined with Real Madrid’s draw with Espanyol, the club are also now 13 points clear of last year’s champions.
Even so, Rosell moved to declare that it is business as usual for Barcelona, until the maths suggest otherwise.
“Everything is open and everything remains there to be done. Until May or June, we will not stop,” commented the President at an awards ceremony today.
“Evaluations about the team are for the end of the season. Until the mathematics say, it is not over. Therefore, everything is open, everything is done, everyone is working.
“We cannot relax, everyone wants to achieve, so we must work with humility, passion, effort, dedication and attitude.
“Until May or June, we will not stop.”
