Rami given injury boost

Adil Rami has had a hamstring injury downgraded to a bruised muscle and he could be fit for Valencia’s last game of the year.

The French international [pictured, left] retired from the weekend’s 1-0 home defeat to Rayo Vallecano midway through the second half with the suspected pulled hamstring in his right leg.

However, tests have revealed that the defender has only bruised the muscle and depending on the injury’s evolution he could be back in contention for the weekend’s visit of Getafe.

After a difficult run with injuries since taking over as Coach, Ernesto Valverde has also welcomed back Victor Ruiz and Nelson Valdez to the main group in training today.
