Keita revels in Barca return

Former Barcelona midfielder Seydou Keita has given his impressions of the Catalan club during his spell training with them.

Keita, who played for the Blaugrana between 2008 and 2012, departing this summer, has regrouped with his former teammates to keep in shape while the Chinese League is in recess.

“It is an honour to be here with colleagues and friends,” the Dalian Aerbin man told Barca TV.

“I was on vacation and called Tito [Vilanova] to see if I could do some training with the team, and he said there was no problem. I will be 33 in January, but I feel like a child being able to train here again.”

Keita was a Pep Guardiola disciple but has nothing but good things to say about assistant boss turned top dog Vilanova.

“Guardiola was a big influence, but Tito was also here for four years. The group remains the same and is winning. There is a mentality and humility that makes for a great atmosphere within the group.”
