Levante President Quico Catalan has said it is ‘amazing’ that the Valencian underdogs are sixth in La Liga.
Juan Ignacio Martinez’s men are just a point off of fourth place and continued their excellent form by destroying Real Mallorca 4-0 yesterday.
“More joy it is impossible to have,” the patron smiled at the opening of an addiction recovery centre.
“There is great merit that, in a League with so many strong rivals, Levante are doing so well and fighting with great potential.
“We are also getting closer to our main objective, which is to survive, and that gives us reassurance that we are on the right track.”
Catalan then took a closer look at the Mallorca result.
“One of the joys of the result and the way it was achieved is that six of the starters were from Valencia. Moreover, eighty per cent have come through the youth system.”
