Jose Luis Mendilibar blamed his Osasuna side's poor finishing as they went down 1-0 to Valencia on Saturday evening.
Los Che won the game thanks to a Roberto Soldado strike, but the 51-year-old thought his team were ultimately the better of the two.
“It was a complicated game,” he told a Press conference. “I think we had more of the ball and were a tad better.
“We pushed them back, but just couldn't finish. It is true that it was not a nice game to watch.
“It is a long season and we are going to fight until the last day to stay up. Nothing will be simple.”
