Jorge Valdano has commended his compatriot Marcelo Bielsa’s work in Spain and commented that he has never met anyone quite as interesting.
Speaking at a motivational conference at San Sebastian, the former Real Madrid player, Coach and director commented that local team Athletic Bilbao had a lot to thank El Loco for.
“He is the most interesting person I have ever met in my career,” Valdano commented about his fellow Argentine.
“Bielsa returned Athletic to feeling like a great team. Taking them back to fighting for trophies last season strengthened the pride and sense of belonging for those at the club.
“This year he is fighting other difficulties, but he will put his whole personality into putting right a less-exciting moment for the team, he will manage it.”
