11 Primera Division players are banned for Week 12’s round of action after indiscipline during last weekend, but Levante-Real Madrid sees no action.

Valencia’s Aly Cissokho, Celta Vigo’s Gustavo Cabral, Deportivo’s Alfonso Fernandes ‘Pizzi’ and Athletic Bilbao’s Ander Herrera were all dismissed during Week 11 and have all subsequently been handed one-game suspensions by the Competition Committee today.

Los Che had appealed Cissokho’s red card offence away at Real Valladolid, where he had been adjudged by the match official to have brought down Omar Ramos as the last man, but the Committee upheld the original decision.

Meanwhile, a further six players – Espanyol’s Christian Stuani, Osasuna’s Emiliano Armenteros, Zaragoza’s Abraham Minero and Cristian Sapunaru, Barcelona’s Sergio Busquets and Athletic’s Oscar De Marcos – have all been handed an automatic one-game suspension for accumulating yellow cards.

However, the Committee confirmed that it is taking no further action on any of the incidents from Real Madrid’s trip to Levante.

Cristiano Ronaldo notably received a cut above the left eye when caught by David Navarro’s elbow when challenging for a ball, whilst both sets of players claimed after the game that a fight between Pepe and Sergio Ballesteros  had taken place in the tunnel.

However, the Committee followed up on the match official’s record of the game and decided to take no further action.
