JIM: Real different to last year

Juan Ignacio Martinez has warned his Levante players that Real Madrid will offer a different game to a year ago.

Last season, Los Granotes shocked Los Blancos with a well-worked 1-0 win at the Ciutat de Valencia, and the Valencian Press revisited that result in asking Martinez of Levante’s chances in a repeat of the fixture on Sunday evening.

“They are different games and now Madrid are much more grounded,” JIM stated at today’s Press conference.

“In 100-odd years in history it was the first time we had beaten them at home. There were a couple of controversial moments but Mourinho then congratulated us and praised us during the championship.

“Madrid will make very little easy for us this weekend. They are not dependent on any number of players because they have a big squad.

“It’s a match between one of the largest budgets in the League and the lowest. We and our fans face it with tremendous enthusiasm.

“We are recovered from the midweek European game, but if it rains maybe you will see more fatigue from us.”

The Coach was asked to pick between Cristiano Ronaldo and Lionel Messi for the Ballon d’Or award.

“I cannot vote, but I think they are two sensational players, two greats. Who would I pick for Levante? They should both come here for me to see,” he joked.
