Defender Ricardo Costa has said that Valencia are obliged to win at home, ahead of BATE Borisov's arrival at Mestalla.
Mauricio Pellegrino's side are level with BATE and Bayern Munich at the top of Champions League Group F but with Bayern expected to win at home to Lille some see tomorrow's game between the Spaniards and Belarussians as a play-off for second place.
“At home we have the obligation to win everything,” the Portuguese centre back commented to assembled journalists.
“The match tomorrow will be very similar to the one in Minsk [won 3-0 by Valencia]. It will be difficult because they are a very dangerous team and we have to be very focused.”
Costa is still struggling to come to terms with his sending off against Atletico Madrid on Saturday.
“I respect the referee's decision, but in all my years in football I have never received a yellow that is so unfair.”
