Valladolid leave it late vs Osasuna

A late goal from Patrick Ebert was enough to give Real Valladolid a 1-0 away victory over Osasuna.

Jose Luis Mendilibar's men were looking for the three points that would take them off of the bottom of the table, and almost got off to the best possible start, but Alvaro Cejudo and Sisi's pair of efforts couldn't find the target.

Los Rojillos remained on top throughout the half, and should have opened the scoring on the stroke of half time. Emiliano Armenteros' cross found the head of Nano, but his effort was saved well by Daniel Hernandez.

The second 45 saw the game remain a bitty and scrappy affair. Both teams packed their respective midfields and tried to shut each other out with men behind the ball.

On 76 minutes Ruben saw himself sent off for a second bookable offence, and handed Miroslav Djukic’s men the initiative.

And they made full use of their extra man late on, as Ebert scored a wonderful chip to give the away team their fourth win of the campaign.
