Levante boss Juan Ignacio Martinez has praised striker Obafemi Martins after his brace helped the Granotes overcome Granada 3-1.
The Nigerian forward bagged two goals in either half to give his side a deserved three points, and the 48-year-old Coach has congratulated his goalscorer, as well as warning the team not get ahead of themselves.
“He played well today,” Martinez told a Press conference. “Obafemi is a player who plays between the lines, which is always difficult to mark.
“We took the lead today, which I was pleased with, and we looked like a mature team. But I was angry that we let in that goal towards the end, even if Granada did deserve it.
“We have started the season well, but it will be an uphill struggle from here.”
