Real Zaragoza hold out for win

First half strikes from Helder Postiga and Victor Rodriguez gave Real Zaragoza a 2-1 away win against Granada.

As both sides looked to get their League campaigns back on track after poor starts, it was the away team that got off to a flyer. Within three minutes Postiga headed in to give Manolo Jimenez's men the lead.

And it got even better for the Blanquillos midway through the half, as Rodriguez slotted in from inside the area to double the lead.

After the break, the home side started to have more of the ball, but failed to turn their possession into clear-cut chances.

Their endeavours were made doubly difficult though, on 72 minutes, as Brazilian midfielder Iriney was given his marching orders.

That however, did not deter the hosts, as with 10 minute remaining Youssef El-Arabi pounced inside the area to pull a goal back.

Despite some late pressure, Real Zaragoza held out for an invaluable three points.
