Athletic Bilbao boss Marcelo Bielsa has praised his side despite their 3-2 loss to Valencia at Mestalla.
Two late goals from Tino Costa and Nelson Valdez were enough to give Los Che the home win, but the Argentine Coach has congratulated his team's effort.
“Until Ander Herrera's sending off, everything was good for us,” he told a Press conference. “We were beating a major rival. We defended with great effort and sacrifice, but as the game unfolded, we couldn't hold on to the win.
“It is always a risk to defend without the ball for a long time.
He also commented on the performance on Aritz Aduriz, who scored both goals for Los Leones.
“He played very well. His performance was extremely valuable to us.”
