Tejera eyes points for Espanyol

Sergio Tejera is eyeing Espanyol’s upcoming two games in a row at home as an ideal opportunity for the club to turn their season around.

Los Periquitos so far have just two points to their name from seven rounds of League action, but Tejera believes that Rayo Vallecano and Malaga’s visits in the coming next two matchdays present an opportunity for more points.

“We will fight to the death against them both as getting the six points at home would be spectacular, and we need a win to bring some much-needed comfort,” he told reporters today.

“The group’s work so far has brought good feelings, we must use these two weeks to prepare for the two games we have to come, they are very important because we must have Cornella-El Prat as a fort.

“We have two points so far and no-one is happy with this. But surely if we continue with our dynamic then things are going to be fine.”
