A first half Aritz Aduriz goal was enough to give Athletic Bilbao a 1-0 win over Osasuna at San Mames on Sunday.
The hosts' got off to the best possible start as an Oscar De Marcos cross found Aduriz after 12 minutes, and the 31-year-old buried his effort into the bottom right-hand corner.
Marcelo Bielsa's men really had their tails up now, and almost doubled the lead midway through the half, but Ander Herrera could only fire over from the edge of the area.
After the break, the home side came flying out of the blocks, with De Marcos having his shot saved well by Andres Fernandez.
Osasuna were not rolling over easily though, and started to have more of the ball and more attempts on goal. Joseba Llorente had two good chances to equalise, but it wasn't enough and Los Leones grabbed all three points.
