Barcelona President Sandro Rosell says it is time the club helped its members after deciding not to raise the price of season tickets.
“The members have always helped the club and it is time the club helped its members,” said Rosell, who praised the decision taken on Saturday at an 800-strong meeting of members before the 2-0 victory over Granada.
Rosell was speaking during a ceremony at the city’s Palau de Congressos on Monday, where he presented gold and diamond pins and badges to the 695 people who had been club members for more than 50 years.
The first pins were awarded to club Vice-President Jordi Cardoner and his parents, who have completed half a century with the Catalan giants.
