Real Madrid's Michael Essien has had to postpone his wedding because of the re-arrangement of the club's visit to Rayo Vallecano!
The Ghanaian midfielder was due to be married in the English town of Weybride today. Real boss Jose Mourinho, several Los Blancos teammates and former Chelsea colleagues including Ashley Cole and Frank Lampard were expected to be in attendance.
However the re-arrangement of the fixture, which was called off last night because of floodlight sabotage at Campo de Vallecas, has put paid to his plans.
Essien was in the starting line-up named by Mourinho last night.
