Montanier happy with Sociedad

Real Sociedad boss Philippe Montanier said he was happy with his team’s display in the 2-0 win over Real Zaragoza.

Inigo Martinez's strike and a penalty from Carlos Vela gave the San Sebastian side all three points, both goals coming after the break, and Montanier was pleased with his players’ second-half performance.

“We reacted well after the break and showed some good technical quality at times in the match,” the Frenchman told a Press conference.

The Txuri-urdin had a number of key players injured for the clash at Anoeta but Montanier believed they were not missed.

“I’m satisfied despite the fact we were without five players and that makes me optimistic about the future in a competition as long as La Liga.”
