Caparros critical of Mallorca

Joaquin Caparros was disappointed in his Mallorca players’ performance away at Osasuna today, saying that they lacked ‘intensity’.

The islanders earned a 1-1 result at El Sadar this evening, but it was not for a performance that their Coach was happy with.

“There was much from the game that I didn’t like,” Caparros declared of his unbeaten side post-match.

“We have not had the intensity in our play that we wanted. Both teams were affected by the red cards. I didn’t like anything from our start to the second half, we went out playing as shadows, speculating, and after time and only after we conceded did the players react.

“At the same time, I am more satisfied than dissatisfied, especially for the reaction shown. It was positive. Osasuna wanted to get their first win and the reaction from the players has been important, because it gives you confidence.”

The Coach didn’t comment on Nunes’ red card for his clash with Joseba Llorente.

“I have not seen it. I have to trust what others have told me on how they have seen it on television, that he had done nothing.

“I will wait to see it, I have no opinion on the decision at the moment.”
