‘We can’t make it easy’ for Sociedad

Manolo Jimenez is in no doubt about what his Real Zaragoza side must do in order to get a result away to Real Sociedad this weekend.

“We have to be ambitious, to dominate possession, to be strong and forceful in defence, to play a balanced match and to not make it easy for our opponents,” the Coach told reporters today.

Zaragoza travel to Anoeta this Sunday with an identical record to hosts Real Sociedad from three games played.

“I want to see the same attitude in the team as in the first half of the match against Real Valladolid, in the game against Espanyol and in the first half against Malaga,” continued Jimenez.

“But we have to maintain it throughout this game.”

Whilst he described himself as ‘satisified’ with the team’s shape going into the weekend, he refused to get carried away.

“Little by little, we are catching up with the competition. When the League is finished we will see if the number of points we have will be enough to achieve our goal or not, but in the third and fourth week of the season it is still too early to tell.

“Hopefully with time and the patience of the fans, Real Zaragoza can again be the big team that all football fans have previously known.”

Real Zaragoza squad to play Real Sociedad: Roberto, Leo Franco, Movilla, Paredes, Alvaro, Goni, N. Aranda, Edu Oriol, H. Postiga, Apono, Montanes,  Romaric, Jose Mari, Stefan, Sapunaru, Zuculini, Abraham, Javi Alamo, Victor Rodriguez
