Levante Coach Juan Ignacio Martinez has sarcastically congratulated opponents Malaga for ‘scoring three goals with their only three shots’ today.
The Costa del Sol outfit ran out 3-1 winners at home to Martinez’ Granotes, much to the visiting Coach’s frustration.
“Congratulations to Malaga because they scored three goals, which by the way were from their only three shots of the entire game,” began the 48-year-old tactician post-match of the 3-1 defeat.
“We were in the game at times, and it was a shame because Michel’s goal had given us a foothold for a while. We competed at times did well, but we are facing a Champions League calibre team.”
The Spaniard also commented on the substitution of influential midfielder Barkero for Miquel Pallardo just after the hour mark.
“He was suffering from a small muscular discomfort, which led him to ask for the change, we will have to evaluate it in the coming days.”
