Malaga defender Martin Demichelis is expected to sit out his team's weekend meeting with Levante, having limped out of training earlier today.
The 31-year-old centre back suffered a sprained ankle in this morning's session.
There are hopes that Demichelis will be back for Malaga's first ever Champions League clash next Tuesday though, when they host Zenit St. Petersburg at La Rosaleda.
Demichelis joins Jeremy Toulalan and Sebastian Fernandez on the sidelines. The French midfielder is still suffering with a hamstring strain, whilst the Uruguayan forward is having trouble with soleus pain.
Both however, are hoping to be fit for the visit of the Russian champions.
