Movilla ‘happy to return’ to Zaragoza

New Real Zaragoza signing Jose Maria Movilla has said he is 'happy to return to the club' after rejoining the side he left in 2007.

The 37-year-old midfielder joined the Blanquillos on a free transfer after being released by Rayo Vallecano in the summer, and was delighted to be back as he was officially unveiled to the fans.

“I am happy because I am returning home,” he told a press conference. “I am grateful to the club, and especially the coach, for giving me this opportunity.

“My performances are not diminished because of my age. All the numbers are there – in the past three seasons I played the most games for Rayo, 38 games last year. I think there are very few players who achieved that.

“I am like a little kid – I can't wait to get started. Obviously I haven't done a proper pre-season, but I have trained.

“I spent four of the best years of my footballing life here, now I want to contribute to the team again.”
