Bertran: No need for Osasuna panic

Osasuna defender Marc Bertran says there is no need to panic just yet after three straight La Liga defeats for the Pamplona club.

A 2-1 home loss to Barcelona and reverses against newly-promoted Deportivo de La Coruna and Celta Vigo has had some fans at El Sadar reaching for the panic button, but Bertran insists there is no need for any anxiety at this early stage of the season.

“La Liga has only just started and we are looking forward to taking our first points in the next game so we can relax more,” said Bertran at a Press conference after training on Sunday.

“It’s normal to be down when you lose and the following week is even worse, but that’s the profession we are in and we have to look ahead and try to correct what we didn’t do well in Vigo.

“We need to think of our next game against Real Mallorca and it will seem a bit long due to the international break.

“Even so, we must prepare properly so we are in optimum condition to take the three points.”
