High flying Mallorca have took winger Giovani Dos Santos from Tottenham in an impressive signing coup.
The Islanders, currently sixth in La Liga having defeated Espanyol and drawn with Malaga so far, announced the deal on their website a short while ago.
The player will arrive at the Iberostar Stadium on a four year deal. A permanent transfer will come as a relief to the Mexican, who has been loaned out to Ipswich, Galatasaray and Racing Santander in recent seasons.
Dos Santos came up through the ranks at Barcelona, leaving Camp Nou to join Spurs in 2008. The 23-year-old – whose younger brother Jonathan is still at Barca – recently helped Mexico win gold at the Olympic Football Tournament.
