Zaragoza close on Bolatti

Real Zaragoza are on the verge of signing midfielder Mario Bolatti from Internacional, according to AS.

A fee of around €2m has been agreed between the two clubs, with just the player's personal terms to be finalised.

The 27-year-old has struggled to make an impact at the Brazilian club, starting just one game in the current campaign.

The Argentina international will not be one of the Blanquillos' three non-European Union players as he also has an Italian passport, having previously turned out for Fiorentina in Serie A.

It has been a summer to forget for Manolo Jimenez's side, who have missed out on a number of transfer targets throughout the off-season – Anthony Vanden Borre and Jose Manuel Fernandez to name just two.

Zaragoza continue their La Liga campaign on Saturday when they host Malaga at La Romareda.
