Real Sociedad and Celta Vigo’s respective Coaches were in agreement tonight that La Real deserved their 2-1 win.
Two goals from Imanol Agirretxe turned the League meeting in the home side’s favour and after the game had both tacticians agreeing that Real Sociedad deserved the result.
“We were deserving of the win because of the number of chances we had, especially in the first half,” the Frenchman told reporters post-match.
“The contribution of our substitutes also helped against a great team in Celta who play great football.”
Meanwhile, Herrera was more despondent with his team’s performance, lamenting his players’ ‘inexperience’. He told reporters after the game that they were struggling to adapt to the Primera Division and that in the end ‘Real were better in the game’.
However, he also took some positives from his side, suggesting that the second-half display gives hope to their progression in the future.
