Levante see off Motherwell

Levante are favourites to progress to the Europa League group stages after easing to a first leg qualifying round 2-0 success at Motherwell.

The La Liga side dominated the opening exchanges, with Michel going close on 18 minutes, but had to wait until three minutes before the break for Juanlu [pictured] to put the Valencia-based side in front.

The veteran 32-year-old struck after the visitors had dominated possession in what was a largely uneventful opening 45 minutes.

However, former Liverpool winger Nabil El Zhar doubled the advantage after 63 minutes when he was set up by Christian Lell, before the Scots had Hutchinson dismissed 11 minutes from time for bringing down Theofanis Gekas when he was through on goal.
