Real Sociedad’s David Zurutuza is a doubt for next weekend, as the club confirm he has suffered from ‘unusual fatigue caused by anaemia’.
The club have confirmed today that 26-year-old, with duel French and Spanish nationality, was not involved in the side’s opening day defeat to Barcelona due to this ailment and is likely to miss next week’s home match with Celta Vigo too.
Zurutuza was diagnosed with the issue in pre-season and, according the La Real’s official website, is now ‘recovering well’ from a ‘personalised preparation program’ that aims to have him back to full training as soon as possible.
The midfielder [pictured, right] has made almost 100 appearances at Anoeta since graduating through the club’s youth system.
