Dudka chose Levante over Russia

Levante’s new Polish defender Dariusz Dudka has revealed that he turned down better offers from Russia and Turkey in favour of signing with Levante.

The international centre-back, who can also play in defensive midfield, joined Los Granotes this month on a free transfer, after four years playing in France with Auxerre.

Dudka has signed a one-year contract with the Valencian outfit, with an option for a second inserted in it, but it wasn’t the best deal he was offered this summer.

“I had proposals from Turkey and Russia that were economically better, but for my family and my career it was better to come to Spain,” he explained at his presentation today.

“I’m very proud because this League is the best and it is one I have always followed. Levante is a club where I can develop my talent.”
