Spain risk World Cup expulsion?

FIFA has reportedly warned Spain that they risk being expelled from the World Cup due to possible political interference.

According to El Pais, FIFA sent a letter to the Spanish Football Federation, explaining La Roja could lose their tickets to Russia next summer if the government proceeds with plans to elect a new RFEF President.

Spanish football has been led by interim Juan Larrea since the summer after veteran chief Angel Maria Villar was forced to step down on corruption charges.

FIFA usually suspends the membership of any nation if political pressure is found to influence its football association.
