Barcelona defender Javier Mascherano belives the club’s current period of success is coming to an end in the near future.
A report in El Mundo Deportivo on Monday suggested the Argentine wanted to leave the Camp Nou this summer to follow on from reports that this would be his last season at the Catalan giants.
“Barca’s period of success is coming to an end, I am certain,” Mascherano told El Grafico.
“It is not over yet but I know this will soon be over, as happens to every top club and successful cycle of players, it does not last forever.
“I believe I know when it will be over, but I am not telling you that!”
Mascherano’s contract at Barca expires in June 2019.
